Chair Yoga is for all types of individual, and can be a very effective way to maintain and restore your body.
Generally people try Chair Yoga as a last resort after being disappointed with other exercise classes which don't take into account any injuries or restrictions our bodies may be presenting us with, leaving us to feel frustrated at what our bodies can or cannot do.
Chair Yoga is suitable for all and aims to redress that. We don't need to worry about getting up and down from the floor for a start! We don't need to worry about falling over if our feet, ankle or legs are a little unsteady or painful.
What we can do is use the chair for support and allow us to restore movement, confidence and our ability to function at optimal levels.
Progressions are offered, so the workouts can be modified to suit your level and ability. The classes aim to release tension and inflammation from tight or painful muscles & joints, to improve circulation and posture, leading to better overall health, as well as providing relaxation to help us deal with stress and stress related issues.
